Four months later, still no arrests in K’Nesia Braithwaite killing
Braithwaite, 20, along with her boyfriend Konorr Donastorg, 24, were gunned down at Estate Anna’s Retreat in St. Thomas, USVI.
According to Information Officer of the USVI Police Department Melody Rhames, Police have not been able to make any arrests but are still investigating the shooting. She noted that ballistic tests are being conducted on the spent shells that were recovered at the scene.
Braithwaite, a former student of the BVI High School now Elmore Stoutt High School, was also a graduate of the University of the Virgin Islands and held a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology.
According to one relative who had spoken with Virgin Islands News Online, the young Virgin Islander was to take up new job on Monday October 24, 2011 in a field related to her studies.
The deceased was the daughter of Kesia King who is a Class 4 teacher at the Ivan Dawson Primary School in Cane Garden Bay, Tortola. She was also a local track athlete during her primary and secondary school years, and according to Dean “Sportsman” Greenaway, she had shown a lot of potential in her primary school and early high school years.
