ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – After nearly 15 years in the Flemming Building across from the Road Town Market, Flow BVI has announced it will be moving its flagship store to the Romasco Plaza next to the Joshua J. Smith Building in Road Town.

In a press release today, January 29, 2020, Flow said its flagship store will move on Friday January 31, 2020 with normal business operations resuming on Monday, February 3, 2020 at its new location.

"Flow Customers in BVI will now have easier access to products and services as the company relocates its Tortola-based Flagship Store to its new home in the Romasco Plaza on 231 Waterfront Drive – next to the Social Security Board, Joshua J. Smith Building, and opposite Maria’s By the Sea Hotel," the press release stated.

'Ideally located'

Country Manager of Flow, Ravindra Maywahlall said, “Our new store is ideally located in the heart of Road Town, close to the banks and offers greater convenience to the public, as well as more access to parking, which was one of the major concerns and complaints received from customers. In addition, the store is in a less flood prone area, so it will be a lot safer for our team and customers to traverse.”

Maywahlall said the company is using the added attention generated by the relocation, to focus customers’ minds on a much more serious topic; that of Internet Safety. “Safer Internet Day” is being observed in February, and Flow will mark the occasion with a series of ‘Edu-tainment’ activities within the store and throughout the community.

The Country Manager said, “Not only are we seeking to enhance our Flow customer experience and provide more convenience to the public, but we are promoting the responsible use of the internet, and ensuring that the community remains conscious on how they can protect themselves while using our online services and mobile devices.”

Romasco Plaza still under construction

The deadline that Flow has given itself to relocate the flagship store seems to be a tight one; however, as Romasco Plaza, which was severely damaged by Hurricane Irma in 2017, is still under reconstruction.

The building, which is being rebuilt larger and hurricane resilient, appears to still need a lot of work.

The contractors; however, may have been inspired by the Chinese who have embarked on an ambitious project to construct, in six days, a hospital to house 1000 beds in Wuhan City as the country grapples with the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus.

All these business / huge buildings with no customer parking... They are moving from one with no customer parking to another with no customer parking... The A Rita building they are moving from would have been such a nice building to conduct business from if they had just use the bottom floor for parking or at lease most of the bottom floor for parking... On the other hand Road town is a small town people can park in the festival grounds and walk whee ever they have to go. That's what I do. When ever I travel I parked my rental in a paid parking in the Town and walk my way around and these are much bigger town than Tortola... So. We need to build smarter and we need to drive smarter learn to park and walk and stop trying to park in front of every business place we going to.....Do those 2things half of our congregation would be over..

Park and walk. .. Only in Tortola every body wants to drive into every store they going to. .. When people walk in and around town the place look bright and lively...

People must stop thinking that they have to Park at every store they go to. When you go to other countries ,you have to walk so why wouldn't want to do that in a small town?
