FLOW is raping the VI- Hon Julian Fraser RA
Speaking under Any Other Business in the House of Assembly today, September 23, 2016, Hon Fraser recalled that it was on December 21, 2015 that he went to the House of Assembly and complained about his internet service from FLOW. “And who told me to do that Madam Speaker. It is one of the biggest mistakes I ever made because throughout the whole holiday season I was without internet service completely.”
Hon Fraser further said since July, a telephone that he has in his House has not worked. Another phone that he has at his office, he said, is now giving troubles with his voicemail service.
“You call this 800 number and they tell you they gonna call you back and you still waiting for them to call you back. Nothing is being done…When they trying to do something they falling over you coming in to your house checking this and checking that and whatever and nothing gets fixed.”
Raping the VI
Hon Fraser said he is not of the view that FLOW can’t fix these problems. “I think what the problem is, Madam Speaker, is that they are taking us for granted. They got bigger fish to fry. All them house lines or landlines they couldn’t be bothered with this.”
The Opposition Leader noted that roads continue to be cut and dug up for FLOW to “bury their cable to transmit communications from Tortola to Jamaica, The Bahamas, to the rest of the world. This Virgin Islands is a hub for Cable and Wireless Madam Speaker. They are raping the country, our people. And then they turn around and give us shoddy service.”
Hon Fraser called on the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) to look into the matter.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Hon Marlon A. Penn (R8), the Junior Minister for Trade and Investment Promotion.
According to Hon Penn, there is a need to find a way to hold the telecommunications companies accountable so that people can get the service they pay for.
“There is no reason why we should be getting substandard service, especially broadband service in the BVI at this point in our development.”
Hon Penn called on the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) to do their job and look into the various practices by the companies and ensure that customers get value for their money.

Flow is differently reaping us off big time
At times the service is so bad, it appears that cavemen and cowboys had more privileged means of communication.
LIME, LAME, whatever...FLOW needs to go!
