Firearms & ammo found @ Cane Garden Bay; 4 arrested- Police

CANE GARDEN BAY, Tortola, VI—In the early hours of this morning, Friday, January 24, 2025, members of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) conducted search operations in Cane Garden Bay, where two firearms and several rounds of ammunition were discovered.

A press release from the RVIPF stated that officers from various units conducted the operation as part of the force’s ongoing efforts to combat violent crimes in the Territory.

Four detained for questioning

Four individuals were taken into custody and are being questioned in connection with the recovered items.

Acting Commissioner of Police Jacqueline E. Vanterpool commended the officers involved in the operation for their diligence and commitment.

“The removal of these firearms from our streets is a significant step in making our communities safer. I commend the officers for their professionalism and dedication in this operation and in all other efforts to reduce violent crime in the Territory,” she said.
