Hurricane Beryl: ‘Stand ready to assist if called upon’- Premier Wheatley
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- “We observe this Virgin Islands Day humbly and prayerfully as our friends in the region endure the impacts of a very dangerous Hurricane Beryl,” Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) stated as part of his message to the nation on Virgin Islands Day today, July 1, 2024.
UPDATE: Lee downgraded to Category 4 hurricane
MIAMI, Florida, USA- According to the National Hurricane Centre’s 11:00 AM advisory, Lee was back down to a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 155 mph and is moving west-northwest at 13 mph.
