Update: Power fully restored on Anegada after 'technical difficulties'
THE SETTLEMENT, Anegada, VI- Around 4:00 pm today, May 16, 2024, electricity was fully restored on the island of Anegada according to both residents and confirmed by the BVI Electricity Corporation after a period of outage.

CRUZ BAY, St John, USVI - The loud boom heard across the V.I. Water and Power Authority's Randolph Harley Power Plant in St. Thomas on Thursday, which led to the evacuation of WAPA employees and other personnel, was not an explosion as some inside WAPA had originally thought.

POCKWOOD POND, Tortola, VI- It was early this morning October 8, 2017 when some employees at the state-owned BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) power plant at Pockwood Pond on the western End of Tortola smelt something burning.
