‘People's business’ to remain confidential when accessing social services- Social Worker
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– Confidentiality will be the policy as it relates to accessing assistance grants in the Virgin Islands (VI), according to Social Worker responsible for social assistance at the Ministry of Health and Social Development Althica Daniel- Dawson. Ms Dawson said, before now, person’s identity would be known throughout the process.
The 'Old Aged' putting strain on VI social service – Hon. Skelton
CANE GARDEN BAY, Tortola, VI – “People are living longer and they are putting more strain on the social systems of the country.” This was a statement made by Minster for Health and Social Development Hon. Ronnie W. Skelton, a statement which caused heads to turn and mumbles at the Government outreach meeting at the Cane Garden Bay Community Centre last evening, March 25, 2013.
