UPDATE: VG sexual assault - Teacher; four minors charged with indecent assault

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - In a release issued by the Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) today, December 5, 2012 it was stated that a male teacher and four male students were charged in relation to a reported incident at the Bregardo Flax Educational Centre Secondary Division in Virgin Gorda where two minor females were indecently assaulted.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – A frail looking Oswin George, 68, was today, November 28, 2012 fined a total of $2500 for various offences committed on January 19, 2011. The resident of Major Bay was found guilty of common assault, being armed with an offensive weapon, resisting arrest and two counts of assault committed on police officers.

Cosmetologist charged with assault changes plea to not guilty

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Cosmetologist, Anthony Smith appeared before Senior Magistrate Tamia Richards today, November 23, 2012 to be re-pleaded on the charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The defendant, who had previously pleaded guilty before Magistrate Valerie Stephens, changed his plea this time around to not guilty.
