2 arrested in USVI for murder of 73-year-old church elder

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI— The [US] Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) has arrested two 18-year-olds in connection with the homicide death of Augustus Bannis, a then-73-year-old church elder who was beaten and carjacked and left for dead while fetching almonds for his wife at the David Hamilton Jackson park in Grove Place, St Croix, US Virgin Islands (USVI).
USVI man facing 10 years, $250,000 fine for firearm possession

Former USVI Senator Wayne A. G. James out on $100,000 bond

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- Federal Judge Ruth Miller on Wednesday October 5, 2016 issued an order releasing Wayne A. G. James, who was indicted on October 1, 2015 on two counts of wire fraud and one count of federal programme embezzlement and is facing multiple years imprisonment, to the custody of his sister Grete James Garcia, and her husband Kwame Garcia.
USVI turns to Bermuda for individual health insurance packages
