We have passed the day of decision whether or not to march against the UK’s ‘Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Bill Amendment’ as it affects the VI… As a supporter of freedom of expression including peaceful protest, I have no problem marching anywhere and anytime provided it is done in the greater interest of the People and not for promoting special interest and personal agendas.
We know who defends the rich but who will defend the poor?

Lasting bad effects of Hurricane Irma:
Hurricane Irma is almost a year old and those lucky enough to survive still complain of things getting worse as landlords used the crisis to have tenants repair and rebuild their properties only to evict or overcharge them, especially when these victims have no means of defense – During the formation of the New Constitution, I argued for the inclusion of Public Defenders but that was omitted.

Government to enforce Insurance Obligations but what about the others?
For more than half a year we have argued that Government should ensure Insurance Companies meet their obligations to Clients and we are finally hearing of steps being taken in that direction… That would be good but it still leaves the Price Gouging and Unfair Practices that have been perpetrated by Landlords and Suppliers on Hurricane Victims or just about every VI Resident.

Time is running out, we are still in the midst of Recovery Efforts and this is hardly the time to indulge in National Holidays we cannot afford and that only serve to push us backward rather than forward… Just a week ago we did HLS Holiday and we are now called on to celebrate Commonwealth Day and, while Persons appear quick to welcome these non-productive events, few know their basic origin or meaning.

It’s over 6-months since Hurricane Irma destroyed Satellite Dishes, toppled Radio Towers and severed our On-Air connections but thanks to VINO my views were kept alive via ‘Truth for the Youth’ Articles. These Hurricanes dropped us in a time zone of Natural and man-made disasters and along with the forces of evil and Impediments we encountered, I applaud your ability to survive in what is ‘our worst of times’.
Six months of crying out for help just to suffer in silence

Life is a journey and we are travelers for better or worse:
It is almost 6 months post hurricane and a journey from East to West and North to South still shows the devastating effects of Hurricanes Irma and Maria… Vivid details are still fresh in everyone’s mind and each have stories to tell but their stories are the same as yours and mine because we were all in this together and while no one expected miracles most believe
there should be far more progress.
