When Lockdowns are all over and Curfews have all ceased there will be empty spaces in our lives of many who left us without the privilege of their Last Rites… A lonely passage made still lonelier without the dignity of that last chance for fond memories or sad good byes… Years from now may find us searching for those we never knew had died or encountering those we thought long dead.

Even as COVID-19 remains a dreadful disease it supports the old saying that the bad wind that blows up the Rooster’s tail also exposes its fine underbelly… For months we have been witnessing a disconnect from reality, a crashing of economies, a fight for equality and a universal lack of leadership… Things have changed more in 6 months than we ever thought possible in 6 years.

Good Government is always for the People by the People:
As staunch supporters of Good Governance, we expect Governments to do what they think is right and, even if they fall short, we can appreciate their effort… I join in giving our Government that praise… However, until the Mission is accomplished, we would expect any good Government to welcome fair assessment and progressive ideas… That and nothing more is my objective.

Leonard is still before the criminal justice system and may end up in a court prosecution, Commissioner of Police Mr Michael B. Most of us share a common wish; that the actions of all Governments are based on whatever is in the best Intentions for their People… Unfortunately, we sometimes lose sight of this when faced with Trumpism designed to make us doubt our own eyes and ears… However, the Coronavirus is a real and present danger, requiring true leadership in the way it is approach and the decisions are made.

What we don’t know is hurting us more than what we know… Churches and schools closed from teaching and preaching, persons anxious to work for an honest living are denied access to job sites, death tolls are rising but mourners are prohibited from attending funerals, world leaders are falling within the target zone and the young are basking in carelessness… World powers are weakened.
