Construction of runway extension to begin early 2013 – Hon. Pickering
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Construction for the extension of the runaway at the Terrence B. Lettsome International Airport is set to begin early 2013, with the Governments of Canada and China among the entities that have expressed interest to carry out the works.
Debt incurred for airport expansion will be paid by airport- Premier
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Supporting the need for the runway at the Terrence B. International Airport at Beef Island to be extended, Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. D. Orlando Smith OBE said the expansion project would pay for itself through an improved fee structure at the airport.
