Opposition admits to having no documented plan for tourism reopening
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Although the Virgin Islands Opposition has been loud with criticisms of the Honourable Andrew A. Fahie administration regarding the tourism protocols, calling them onerous, stringent and impractical, Opposition Legislator Hon Melvin M. Turnbull (R2) has admitted that the Opposition does not have a documented plan of its own.
8th day COVID-19 test for tourists under review
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – In an effort to bring down the associated costs of COVID-19 testing to tourists, as well as reducing the number of tests to be administered, Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Carvin Malone (AL) said the administration is working to review the 4th COVID-19 test requirement.
Estimated $450 per tourist for COVID-19 testing & GPS bracelet
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Tourists to the Virgin Islands (VI) can expect to pay an estimated $450 per person for all local COVID-19 testing and the associated GPS tracking device, should the government move forward with its current reopening protocols from December 1, 2020.
