Opposition tries to bully HoA on formation of PAC @ Special Sitting for VI's heroes
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– The Special Sitting of the House of Assembly (HoA) today, October 13, 2023, was intended solely to honour the heroes and foreparents of the [British] Virgin Islands; however, Members of the Virgin Islands (VI) Opposition, namely Opposition Leader Hon Ronnie W. Skelton (AL) and Hon Myron V. Walwyn (R6), attempted to force an amendment of the Order Paper to addresss the issue of the formation of a Public Accounts Committee (PAC) for the house.

14 vacancies remain for public school teachers– Hon de Castro
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports Honourable Sharie B. de Castro (AL) has revealed that just 14 vacancies remain for teachers in the Virgin Islands for this new academic year. She said the number of teachers needed is low because the Ministry of Education has been prioritising the recruitment of teachers in the territory over the past few months.
