Governor Jaspert announces investigation into BVI Airways

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Public, social media, the Opposition in Parliament and civil society have all been concerned for the past three years over the BVI Airways deal. In exchange for direct flights between Miami International Airport and Beef Island, Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable D. Orlando Smith (AL) gave BVI Airways, a company who left the Territory in 2014 saying they were bankrupt and had owed the BVI Airports Authority some $100,000, more funds via a big giveaway.
