Under pressure USVI's Mapp Admin changes tune on retro pay

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, VI - At an impromptu press conference called by Government House on behalf of the Office of Collective Bargaining, the Kenneth E. Mapp administration of the US Virgin Islands changed its tune on retroactive pay for government employees, with Chief Labor Negotiator Natalie Tang How stating yesterday April 8, 2016 that all government employees would receive their salary increases that the governor promised earlier this year.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI- Governor House in the US Virgin Islands announced on Wednesday February 3, 2016 that a measure instructing the West Indian Company (WICO), a government-owned but self-governed (semiautonomous) entity, to buy property next to Government House, that would serve as the official residence of the Governor of the US Virgin Islands, has been allowed to become law.
