‘Elements of corruption will be rooted out’ - Michael ‘Mick’ Matthews
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Newly sworn in Commissioner of Police of the Virgin Islands Michael ‘Mick’ Matthews said he is on a mission to root out corruption in the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) though he said it is not the Force but elements of it that may be corrupt.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - New Commissioner of Police Michael ‘Mick’ Matthews said he expects there will be some concern and distrust with the fact that he is a white Commissioner of Police among some elements of the population of the Virgin Islands but he said it is important for there to be diversity in the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).
UPDATE: 18 illegal immigrants detained
