Living with HIV, Tree Alexander shares his story
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – As the world commemorates World AIDS Day today December 1, 2011, one HIV positive young man hopes his story and putting a face to HIV/AIDS would help to reduce stigma and discrimination against those living with the disease around the world, and more particularly the Virgin Islands where he is currently visiting as an HIV/AIDS activist and educator.
Biwater not discussed at recent UK meeting
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The highly criticized Biwater project, which the National Democratic Party (NDP) campaigned heavily against and which the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) even admitted may have been a factor in them being unseated from office at the November 7, 2011 elections, was not discussed at the Overseas Territories Consultative Council (OTCC) meeting in London recently.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – A programme initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture to assess the status of youth unemployment and find jobs for them resulted in 155 young men and women registering on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 – the first day of the exercise.
15% VI’s HIV/AIDS cases are homosexuals

Minister Walwyn applauds Fahie on multiplication initiative

Nurse wins civil case against Gov’t
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI (Posted 6:27 am) - A nurse, who sued the Government in 2007 for negligence, won her civil case last month with Judge Indra Harriprashad-Charles instructing that the “matter should proceed to the assessment of damages.”
Public consultations for UK/VI relationship for “coming weeks”- Premier
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Premier Dr. D. Orlando Smith has said he has been able to successfully negotiate for more time to assess the Territory’s financial condition and to have the public’s input on the soon to be published White Paper on the UK/Overseas Territories relationships.
