ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Communications and Works, and now At Large Candidate in the 2019 Elections, Mr Julian Willock, has rejected outright, recent claims made by the Minister for Education and Culture, Honourable Myron V. Walwyn (AL), saying it appears the Minister “is a stranger to the truth.”
Deputy Governor’s Office calls for updated Election laws by year end
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – With General Elections constitutionally due in 2019, the Deputy Governor’s Office has commenced their preliminary preparations such as updating their staff database, looking to recruit new staff and is also looking to introduce new polling stations but they are also calling for updated Election laws to be enacted by year-end.
HoA to resume Tuesday July 24, 2018; Many Bills but no public input
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The House of Assembly (HoA) will resume its sitting on Tuesday July 24, 2018. The Parliament last met on Thursday July 19, 2018 where it was rough for Government Ministers, as they struggled to answer many of the questions truthfully, at times holding back information.
