Trial for alleged chain robbers likely to be traversed
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The trial of two young men accused of robbing a man of two Gucci chains and a gold pendant in 2010 is expected to be traversed to the February 2012 criminal assizes due to the slow pace of the current assizes.
Pemberton trial – Vehicle with gun, narcotics picked up unlocked
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Danny Pemberton, who is facing a number of charges in court including carrying an unlicensed firearm and unlawful possession of cannabis allegedly committed in February of 2010, had allegedly picked up the rental vehicle, which was unlocked, at the Government Administration Complex parking lot.
Fat Hog Bay resident to stand trial for gun possession
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – A 30 year-old Fat Hogs Bay resident found with a Glock 40 pistol in a vehicle he was driving in February 2011 will stand trial in the Magistrate’s Court on November 28, 2011 before Magistrate Tamia Richards.
Haitians to stand trial Dec. 12 for death of 8 people
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Two Haitian men implicated in the deaths of eight illegal migrants last year will face trial on December 12, 2011 in the High Court before Justice Indra Hariprashad-Charles.
