DR man prosecuted for alleged knife assault on girlfriend

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Dominican Republic national, Kelvin Solomon, 26, appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on January 23, 2013 charged with the offences of criminal trespass, being armed with an offensive weapon and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. The offences were allegedly committed on November 18, 2012.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Jamaican national Kerisha T. Campbell, 28, was sentenced to 4 days in prison and fined a total of $450 after she pleading guilty today January 18, 2013 to the charge of remaining in the Territory beyond the period granted.

Airport worker accused of handling stolen goods

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Eric Freeman, 35, was not required to plead when he appeared before the Magistrate’s Court on October 19, 2012 charged with handling stolen goods. The defendant, who is currently an airport worker and also works part-time at a garage, is accused of trying to sell two (2) pieces of stolen hand tools.
