Virtual webinar 

The virtual webinar facilitated by the Financial Investigations Agency (FIA) will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. 

In a press release from the BVI Financial Services Commission (FSC) on Friday, February 14, 2025, the commission said the session will provide critical insights into suspicious activity and transaction reporting, red flag indicators, and compliance obligations. 

“The Commission strongly supports this initiative and encourages all relevant personnel to attend this informative session. This webinar represents an excellent opportunity for investment business licensees to strengthen their compliance frameworks by enhancing their understanding of what may constitute suspicious activity, what their suspicious activity reporting obligations are and when such activity should be reported,” the press release added. 

The FSC said the virtual session is also a good opportunity for licensees to train their staff and thereby assist in satisfying the AML/CFT/CPF training requirements of the AML Regime in the Virgin Islands.
