Farley & Lindsay win 2024 Beef Island Prison Break 10K

LONG BAY, Beef Island, VI- Julius Farley and Katrina Lindsay made it back-to-back wins when the BVI Runners 10K Fun Series continued with Race 2 on Saturday, July 21, 2024.

Farley, who prefers the longer distances, dominated the race to win in 45:32.

James Ramprashad had to settle for second in 48:06, while Lennon Dabreo took third in 52:41.

Lindsay prevails again

On the distaff side, Katrina Lindsay cruised to victory in 46:14.0.

Vicki Francis was second in 52:50.0, and Sarah Latham third in 54:31.

The race took runners from Long Bay Beach to the main road and then towards Terrence B. Lettsome International Airport. Runners proceeded along the airport road to the junction with the road to the left leading to Minine's nursery before turning back at the gate and making their way over the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge before turning immediately right to run along the road leading to the prison. The athletes then turned around at a large orange cone to return to the start/finish line.

The next race in the series will be on September 14, 2024.
