FISH BAY, Tortola, VI – Japhix Television (JTV), a media house operating primarily via Facebook in the Virgin Islands (VI), has debunked as malicious and unauthorised a post being circulated online with a photo of a drug bust along with the accompanying image of three individuals.

JTV in a Facebook post yesterday, September 21, 2023, labeled the image as an “Unauthorized Post Circulating with Jahphix Television (JTV) Logo - Image Obtained Maliciously and Distributed with Malicious Intent”.

The media house added that the post, which has been circulating, was not authorised or published by Jahphix Television (JTV).

“The image featuring our logo was obtained maliciously from a story that was originally shared on our Facebook Page on August 13, 2022.  Moreover, this image was combined with pictures of three individuals and intentionally distributed on WhatsApp with malicious intent,” JTV added.

    So where is our illustrious police chief to say this was fake news? Maybe some where trying to get evidence on someone on the hit list even though the Dpp told him the evidence is weak

      You are so correct how the UK Commissioner of Police works. This is why they want the Constitution suspended so they can rub the judiciary and country and be the judge, jury and executionist. Once they feel (not know) you are guilty then you need to be arrested and lost in jail forever. We support fighting crime but even the police and Governor needs to be made accountable by law or citizens rights will be trampled on with no recourse. This is why they hate locals & Caribbean people in such positions as DPP, Attorney General, and all other law enforcement positions. They want no resistance to anyone ensuring balance & fairness while assisting in fighting crime but at the same time protecting people's rights.

      With due respect I do not get the sense the majority of people in BVI is condoning any wrong doing. What I gather them saying is the UK is trying to paint everyone with the same brush and this is not right hence people's rights should be maintained and not abused. With power comes great responsibility and accountability and this holds true for the Governor and law enforcement also.
