Elderly male visitor dies after allegedly falling overboard off Peter Island
According to reports, the elderly man fell off a yacht and was unresponsive when he was pulled from the waters yesterday, February 7, 2022.
Police have confirmed reports of a male tourist dying following a boating incident.
"The RVIPF is reporting that a 75-year-old male visitor to the Territory was retrieved unresponsive from the water near Peter Island yesterday and subsequently pronounced dead," Police said in a brief statement today, February 8, 2022.

The RVIPF also said initial inquiries suggest that he fell overboard just after noon while sailing a Moorings yacht.
"Investigations are ongoing," Police said.
It was on February 2, 2022, that a male tourist was pronounced dead after he was pulled from the water at Devil's Bay on Virgin Gorda.
