ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Eklund Z. Adams, who goes by the stage name ‘Officer’, is the 2026 Calypso Monarch. Adams won the calypso competition at Lavida Cottoy Festiville in Road Town on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

It was redemption for Adams, who won the 2025 Virgin Islands Emancipation Festival's Calypso Competition but was subsequently disqualified, along with a few other participants, for breaching the rules of the competition.

The 2026 Emancipation Festival is being held under the theme, “Culture Rising, Hearts Aligned, VI Festival, One of a Kind.”
