Edmund G. Maduro slams public for not supporting him
He was speaking on his EGM Show on ZROD 103.7 FM when he made the statements lashing out at members of the public.
Over the past weeks, Maduro has been reading aloud sections of the Virgin Islands Constitution Order 2007 with a view to educating persons of their rights and responsibilities and those of the Governor, the Premier and all elected members of the House of Assembly.
In those weeks too, the host of the often controversial talk show has accused the Constitution of being discriminatory as it seemingly protects the office of the Governor from facing prosecution while allowing for the Premier and other elected officials to be prosecuted.
“Ladies and gentlemen I am kind of unhappy because over the months you do not call, you do not make suggestions you do not offer help,” he said.
“I feel that what I’m saying and what I’m doing may not be important to you anymore and I have to give it some serious consideration,” he said.
Maduro said he is putting his head on the block to assist persons in maintaining proper government “and you sitting down and allowing things to happen without standing up.”
He called for persons for be united in making sure that the Constitution of the Virgin Islands is upheld or else “divided we will fall.”

What goes around comes around and chickens always come home to roost. Perhaps if Mr. Maduro showed more tolerance towards others, more people would listen to his show and participate by calling in. I stopped listening a long time ago as I find his intolerance and rudeness far too offensive.
