The children were welcomed back to school in exciting fashion, with music and dancing, motivational talks and were even offered free school supplies.
Additionally, First Caribbean International Bank (FCIB) presented a check for $2000 as a symbol of their renewed partnership with the school.
On hand to welcome the new and returning students and teachers were Third District Representative Hon Julian Fraser, RA, Chief Education Officer Connie E. George and a Minion!
Children encouraged to be ‘best version’ of themselves
Guest Speaker Mr Pete Smith delivered a hyped presentation, as he encouraged the children to be the best version of themselves.
Among other things, Mr Smith also told the children to cherish their teachers.
Hon Fraser wished the students and staff well for the new year and encouraged the students especially to learn more about current affairs and who their current leaders are since they [the students] are the future leaders.
Also giving brief remarks were CEO George and Country Manager of FCIB Mr Amory Jervis.
The DJ was Mr Brent D.R. Hoyte, who kept the children lively with his selection of music.
According to the Principal of Ebenezer Thomas Primary School, Ms Sybil S. Hodge, the school has an enrollment of 151 students and 21 staff members.
Of the 151 students, 31 are new and transferred students.
