Early advantage for Pirates & Power Outage in Softball Playoffs
The Playoffs will be best of three out of five series and the winners will move on to the championship round.
In game 1 the Pirates defeated the Reds 10-9. Pirates had 10 runs, 12 hits, 4 errors and left 7 runners on base. Reds had 9 runs, 7 hits, 4 errors and left 7 runners on base. The winning pitcher was Allen Smith in relief of Jaime Potter and the loser was Dariel Robinson in relief of Jason Fonseca and Roy Hill.
Nateshon Thomas of Pirates went 1-3 with a home run, 2 runs scored and 2 runs batted in. Devon Bedford and Dwight Brooks each went 2-3 with 2 runs scored. Timothy Brewer of Reds went 1-4 with a home run and 2 runs batted in and Kyle LaMotta went 1-3 with a double and 3 runs batted in. Pirates lead the series 1-0.
In game 2 Power Outage defeated Dominicanos 6-4. Power Outage had 6 runs, 7 hits, 1 error and left 4 runners on base. Dominicanos had 4 runs, 4 hits, 1 error and left 4 runners on base. The winning pitcher was Neville Smith and the loser was Yervis Rodriguez.
Jamarli James, Levron Saurauw and Jamal Allen of Power Outage each had a home run and scored 2 runs. Clifford Green of Dominicanos went 1-3 with a triple and 2 runs batted in.
