Drugs destroyed in Sint Maarten

A quantity of narcotics collected over the past months in Sint Maarten was destroyed by police.

The value of the drugs was not disclosed.

The Sint Maarten Police Force says on instructions from the Public Prosecutor on March 15, a large amount of confiscated narcotics were transported to a location in the Cay Bay area and destroyed under the supervision of personnel from the KPSM, Customs and Fire Department.

The narcotics, which consisted of soft and hard drugs, were burned late Monday evening. The drugs were confiscated over a period of months by the various law enforcement agencies on Sint Maarten.
