Drew Farrell charged for fatal stabbing of Rasheel T. Alexander on VG

GUN CREEK, Virgin Gorda, VI- A 42-year-old man has been charged in relation to the fatal stabbing of 27-year-old Rasheel Thomas Alexander at Gun Creek, Virgin Gorda on March 20, 2025.

Alexander, who was reportedly stabbed in the region of the neck, was transported to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) announced today, March 25, 2025, that Drew Farrell of Valley, Virgin Gorda, has been formally charged with Manslaughter in connection with this incident.

The RVIPF said Farell remains in custody pending his appearance before the Magistrate’s Court.

The RVIPF continues to urge members of the public to report any information that may assist this or any other investigation by contacting the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 800-8477 or from overseas at (284) 800-8477.

        A good attorney does not come cheap. Some attorneys can charge 3-5 hundred dollars per hour. And I am quite sure the killer family doesn’t have that type of money unless the attorney is willing to do the case pro bono.

    When you being provoke,guess what to do! WALK AWAY! I don't think you will see a big hole in the ground and walk into it to break your leg,provoke lead to one dead and the other in jail for life,so I am guessing none of them wasn't thinking stright.

        Short circuit lead to these kind of things,now he has to spend time in jail and beg for money to pay lawyers,he could have defend him self by using different methods but clearly his intention was to use a knife,there are police which is free of charge to control situation but some people like to take matters into their hands now he have a life on his hands aswell,sorry and regret wouldn't change anything and ppl need to remember this is bvi even if he is free from the charges someone will deh behind him, tola is life for a life.

His options were severely limited; the only apparent alternative might have been to leap from the pier, potentially risking drowning if he lacked swimming skills.

      Tragically, it appears the victim's life was lost due to a combination of uncontrolled anger and possible underlying mental health issues. This incident underscores the importance of maintaining composure and seeking peaceful resolutions in confrontational situations.

The dead guy had beeen in fights at this same place for this month.He was an instigator and very very violent.He said in the video that he had a broken bottle to ram into Farrel.He followed farrel and allegedly sent stones and attacked Farrel.Farrel had no choice but to defend himself.Please tell me why they shoild throw away the key????

    With all the dumb comments common sense is if your going to be in someone's face threatening them then you better understand anything is the outcome now a days. Blame that on social media and the government who's letting you all watch those stupid movies and shows on TV. The guy walked away and Thomas followed so that means he was looking for trouble because he followed the buju. Everyone has all kinds of excuses but in reality it could have been prevented with an apology or someone trying to solve whatever problem was going to start this drama...too many witnesses around and no one called the police. Thomas could have been alive of it wasn't for all the brainless witnesses. They should all be charged too because no of them walked away or report the argument...all they did was record and talk straight through the video.     Everybody got the story twist up . That video is no evidence !!!!! Buju was provoking Thomas earlier in the week! Everybody know Thomas mentally ill , at some point he was going to lash out . Every single person on that dock who catches the boat in the morning know that Thomas was being provoked by buju from earlier in that week!

    I can bet you the ones that witness the altercation is going to get amnesia or don’t show up to court to testify. When you get caught up in problems you will see who is going to truly have your back. Everyone who stood around watched and film the horror of a person getting their throat slashed is JUST AS GUILTY.
