Drama @ Ports as MD Secretary Nadia Demming removed from post!
Are officers who former Director hired being purged?
On Friday January 22, 2016, after about two days of emails between the Authority's Human Resources Manager and a reported request from the Acting Managing Director Alfred ‘Al’ Henley, the Personal Assistant to the former Managing Director Claude O. Skelton-Cline, Ms Nadia Demming, was removed from the BVI Ports Authority.
Ms Demming, who was requested by Mr Skelton-Cline to work with him as his Secretary/Personal Assistant via a secondment was asked last Friday to return to her post at the Premier’s Office, abruptly ending her tenure at the BVI Ports Authority. Her secondment appointment had gone through the BVI Ports Authority Board.
It remains unclear if employees in the former Managing Director’s inner circle are been removed from the Ports Authority or will be the target of reassignments and victimisation, the same thing that happened once a new Director took over last time.
Clyde Lettsome’s status?
Meanwhile, a call this morning from our newsroom to our senior National Democratic Party (NDP) source about an update to our information on Clyde Lettsome, who was tipped to be the new Chairman of the BVI Ports Authority Board, was of interest.
The senior reliable NDP source advised our newsroom that the Cabinet Paper for Mr Clyde Lettsome, a former Permanent Secretary in three Ministries, had been written and placed on the agenda but allegedly withdrawn.
The source, who said they will get back to us as they were rushing to a morning meeting, said it is believed the reported Cabinet Paper withdrawal for Mr Lettsome’s appointment as Chairman of the Board had something to do with the Government settling on the status of former Managing Director Claude O. Skelton-Cline.
The source promised to have full details for our newsroom by the end of the day.
The talk of the town remains the cost of the Ports Cruise Ship Project which has reached almost $83 million, however, the project is still incomplete. Of that cost a whopping $9 million was used for soft and administrative expenses.

I am calling "All Experienced Professional" from the Virgin Islands living “abroad” to form a correlation and take some time out from our busy schedules to investigate these claims. Let us save the extra money being spent to internally investigate. The Virgin Islanders' future generation is at take. Cannot be ignored any longer!
