Dr Rawle R. Hannibal now running At Large

‎VALLEY, Virgin Gorda, VI – In one of the latest developments on the Virgin Islands political scene, Dr Rawle R. Hannibal, who had announced his intention to contest the June 8, 2015 General Election as an Independent candidate for the Ninth District seat, will now be contesting as a Territorial At Large candidate.

Virgin Islands News Online has also been informed that Dr Hannibal has teamed up with Independent candidate for the Ninth District, Stephanie I. Faulkner-Williams.

"We have decided to unite in the best interest of the people," Dr Hannibal told this news site tonight, May 17, 2015.

According to Dr Hannibal, additional information will be forthcoming tomorrow May 18, 2015.

    You people really have this thing for a joke sah.....Stephanie I thought you had a lil sense but you proved me wrong....Hannibal the fact that you out so long and now changing your mind almost at the end tells me all I need to know about you....both of you need to go sid down....the treasury going be smiling after the 8th.....anyway hopefully by Friday I will wake up from this nightmare.

      Fear not! Hannibal was one of the first candidates to declare. He was the first in the 9th district for sure. This is not an addition, this is an announcement.

      question: With so many candidates, is there a primary or run-off for the top 3 or so candidates? and then a real election so there is a better representation of voters? With 40% one could win with 20% of the vote. That means that 20% people would put a person in government with 80% not voting for that person. This is not fair or true choice by the people.

    To all the bloggers on VIP and NDP payroll... Ya'll don talk...so shut up...sit down and listen...PLEASE! To all the people in the BVI and especially the 9th District, take note... Dr. Hannibal didn't change his mind or jump ship etc. VG had up to 9 names... circulating for the ONE seat..including 3 independents... Everybody talking change... Hannibal and Stephanie are THE ONLY ONES who truly has the PEOPLE'S interest at heart...NOT PARTY. It takes a special sort of person to decide to run independent with no party to support, endorse or push them...THEY STEPPED UP! It takes an amazing and self-less person to put the PEOPLE before personal desires etc and work in the best interest of the PEOPLE, Dr. Hannibal is such a man and Stephanie Faulkner-Williams is such a woman! Dr. Hannibal didn't step aside...He stepped up! It make sense! Forget Party...focus on the PEOPLE! Is fraid the party dem fraid Hannibal and Stephanie

    Well Well. We are talking about this party and the other party. How much money going into the treasury. The big issue is the persons who running only for a second term, to get a pension for life these are the real hypocrites. According to our political system if you serve two terms you get a pension for life after being paid to live in your own house.
