Domestic melee: Man beats girlfriend & her lover; Fight @ Hospital

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- It was in the wee hours of Sunday morning, March 13, 2018 when a local man, who is a former Police and Customs officer, reportedly assaulted his girlfriend and her lover.

According to information obtained from our senior police sources, the man (whose name we have) went to his girlfriend’s place of residence in Long Bush on Tortola where he knocked on her apartment door.

Knock Knock, Who’s there?

The girlfriend did not open the door but the Sea Cows Bay man climbed through a window. When the man, the owner of a popular Sea Cows Bay restaurant, got inside he met his girlfriend in the bed with a male.

The former senior Customs officer then allegedly beat the man with a metal baton, according to information reaching our newsroom. The man suffered minor injuries. 

The girlfriend beater was arrested by police and released because of “sugar levels”, which caused a hospital visit. The man is expected to be charged sometime today May 14, 2018.   

Hospital fight over man

Meanwhile, it was also reported to our newsroom that two females were in a physical fight at Peebles Hospital. It is alleged the fight took place sometime on Saturday May 12, 2018 when it was reported that the boyfriend of one of the ladies was in the hospital.

It appears that the current girlfriend and the “side lady” met at the hospital at the same time to visit the patient. It is reported that one threw the first blow and a fight ensued. The fight was parted by security personnel and police were called in.

Our newsroom has the names and photos of both young ladies.

Police came to the scene and retrieved the video tape of the female brawl.
