EAST END/LONG LOOK, Tortola VI – Last Wednesday, November 20, 2013 the Digicel team and those present at Fine Foods in East End where the second Christmas Road Show was held were moved with emotions when two persons decided to split the $1,500 cash win instead of going head to head for the entire prize money.

When Digicel decided on the promotion they said they did it with every intention of sharing the joy of the festive season with customers but what transpired last Wednesday was nothing they had ever expected and thought it was the greatest story that must be told as they continue further into the Christmas season.

Ten persons competed in a basketball shoot out for a chance to go home with $1500 cash, compliments of Digicel. Persons were eliminated until two finalists stood ready to shoot off when they both had a change of heart. The two finalists and residents of East End, Lillowtie Hallin and Cordice Haywood, decided to split the cash prize.

“The two were total strangers and when they suddenly said they were not going to do the final shoot out but will share the final prize everyone was so surprised. That was one of the greatest shows of love we have seen so far in all the promotions that we have ever done,” said Marketing Public Relations Executive Ms Jasmine Perez.

Digicel said they are even more excited to continue with the Christmas promotion and would love to see a continued show of love among residents. “It is the time of year for love and good cheers, it’s the time when we share what we have with family, relatives, and friends and, as we saw last week, even with strangers and that’s the spirit we want to see continue. It’s the soul of BVI. Apart from being nature’s little secret, we are a people that know how to show love for one another,” Ms Perez added.

The next road show will be held tomorrow, November 28, 2013 in the Rite Way Food Market parking lot in Pasea. The grand prize will be $3000 worth of groceries for some lucky person. There will also be several other prizes such as cellphones, free credit and gas vouchers.

Pay no attention to those "singing for their suppers". Their brains often leak out through their mouths and only care about their personal status and rubbing shoulders with the who is who of society. They care not for the poor and suffering people.
