ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The true spirit of Christmas was felt at Digicel’s corporate office in Road Town when the students of the Eslyn Henly Richiez Learning Centre made a surprise visit to share Christmas cheer. The boys and girls, accompanied by staff from the Centre, sang Christmas carols, played musical instruments, danced and the entire Digicel team gathered around and sang along with the children.

“After the children finished their songs and were about to leave, they were surprised by Digicel’s Secret Santa, who arrived with his sack bearing gifts and treats. The children screamed with excitement and ran to give Santa hugs and then started to sing “How did Santa get here.”

It was truly an extraordinary experience in our office,” commented PR & Sponsorship Executive, Katasha Melville.

The fun did not end there for the students of the Eslyn Henly Richiez Learning Centre as members of the Digicel team, along with Digicel's Secret Santa, paid a special visit to the children at their school. As the children glanced at Santa entering the school yard, they began to scream with excitement “Santa, Santa, Santa” and Santa cheered “Ho, Ho, Ho Merry Christmas.”

The children gathered around a table, and each got a chance to choose a learning gift from Santa’s sack. As the children unwrapped their gifts, their faces lit up with smiles, and they were fascinated by their seasonal surprises.

Ms Vansittart Huggins, Principal of the school, commented, “We are so grateful to Digicel for their continued support, the children enjoyed opening their gifts from Santa. The toys will be used in the classroom to enhance the children’s learning experience while allowing the teachers to explore different learning methods with the children. Thank you Digicel!”

"Christmas is a season of giving, and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the smiles on all children’s faces at this time. We wish to thank all of the students and teachers who visited our office to spread Christmas cheer, it was so wonderful. Digicel is pleased to offer our continued to support to the extraordinary children and staff of the Eslyn Henly Richiez Learning Centre, and wish them a very Merry Christmas," added Digicel CEO, Conor Looney.
