PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI- Deyounce E. Lowenfield was on August 11, 2024, crowned Miss Universe BVI 2024 and will be representing the Virgin Islands at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico in November.

Lowenfield was selected by the local pageant committee, following a showcase event that featured three contestants at Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium, H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) in Paraquita Bay.

The other two contestants were Kristen A. D. Abraham and Enya T. Glasgow.

The three contestants took to the stage in Evening Wear and Swim Wear.

Lowenfield was crowned by the 2023 Miss Universe BVI, Ashellica A.L.S.S. Fahie.

73rd Miss Universe pageant

Miss Universe 2024 will be the 73rd Miss Universe pageant and will be held in Mexico for the first time since 2007. Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua will crown her successor at the end of the event.

The preliminary rounds will take place on November 14, and the coronation on November 16, 2024.

    How was this judged by the way? I did not see or hear anything about application for candidates. Is she the person who will be the face of BVI at Miss Universe in November 2024?

    I went to the Miss BVI pageant where a couple of young ladies vied for the crown so where will the winner be representing us and at what show?

    She ran last year I think, win in almost every category and they didn't choose her then. I guess someone is fixing their mistakes from last year. Though miss bvi will represent bvi at miss universe? Anyway there is miss world too.

    Congratulations my dear!! Yes .she ran last year ,and was not chosen but she persevered,amid all the chitchat of her PARENTS being Guyanese..BUT HERE SHE IS !!! GOING OFF TO REPRESENT THE BVI. at MISS UNIVERSE!! continúe to shine like the Diamond you are!!
