Deputy Gov Archer Jr now acting Gov until June 9, 2024

Deputy Governor, Mr. David Archer, Jr. will act in the Office of Governor until June 9 in the absence of His Excellency, the Governor Mr. Daniel Pruce who is out of the Territory. Photo: GIS/File
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Deputy Governor, Mr. David D Archer, Jr. will act in the Office of Governor until June 9, 2024, in the absence of His Excellency, the Governor Mr. Daniel Pruce who is out of the Territory.

The Deputy Governor Archer Jr’s appointment is in accordance with section 37 (1) (a) of the Virgin Islands Constitution Order, 2007.

The constitution states,  “During any period when the office of Governor is vacant, or the Governor is absent from the Virgin Islands or is for any other reason unable to perform the functions of his or her office, the Deputy Governor shall during Her Majesty’s pleasure, act in the office of Governor and shall perform the functions of that office accordingly.”'

    This deputy Governor is a good and fair man. I had dealing with concerning an unhappy incident with a Government dept and he addressed it immediately and it waals remedied satisfactory. So I will encourage any one or every one with Issues with ant Govt dept and felt that they have being mistreated and or disrespected reach out to the Deputy Governor and his office, don't lie down.

    Your excelencia. Can you please make me understand and de something why everytime I go to immigration to check on my Residencia status application I am rushed out of the offiice like I am disturbing them..Give me your number we will call you, wvery one is busy now..That's what they say everytime but they never called. I heard many others with similar compla8nt. Please your excelency. This is not aceptable. You know they going lié to you. But I am telling you it happen to me m9re than once others too.
