Dean H. Greenaway ousted from BVIFA; Matter now in hands of Labour
The reason/s for his termination is unclear; however, we are told that the matter is now before the Labour and Workforce Development Department for resolution, as Mr Greenaway has allegedly claimed he was fired without cause.
The BVIFA, through its interim President Aubrey Liburd, confirmed that Mr Greenaway was "released from duty" but said it has not seen any documents showing Mr Greenway has taken the matter to the Department of Labour and Workforce Development.
Mr Greenway did not confirm or deny the allegations but said he would comment at another time.
Greenaway on social media
Over the past three years, Mr Greenaway has been taking photos of potholes and areas in the Territory that need cutting and posting on his social media page.
Mr Greenaway, a former track athlete, was part of the first-ever team to represent the VI at the Summer Olympics when he competed in the 1984 Olympics. He entered the 400 meters where he finished 5th but did not qualify for the next round.
On May 19, 1979, Greenaway ran 400m in 46.04s, setting a national record.
He is also a former President of the BVI Athletics Association.

Dean, people telling you to run for elections, dude, if you do that and become a politician, you will not be as effective as you are now. Your calling right now is to speak out on issues. Get into politics, it will be a different ballgame, and although your intention would have been to help to better the place, you will fall into the same trap.
If the football association don't want you no more, don't fight it, move on. You got alot of beach offices so you will be ok
Moreover, when one join an organization, one signs a contract to work towards attaining the orgs mission, following the org’s procedures and policies , if they are ethical, consistent with community norms , legal, etc. Sometimes though, relationships don’t work out and ways must be parted, provided they are aligned with labor laws.
