D9 Rep welcomes opening of The Lotus Center in Valley, VG
Spa Manager Kushalesh Banthia during the opening ceremony on Thursday, January 30, 2025, said they are proud to open this new location on the Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour as they have been serving the Virgin Gorda community and tourists for twenty years from their location in Leverick Bay.
“It was high time that we also offer it in the Valley, so people who [come] all the way to Leverick Bay for so many years, can have all the same services with upgraded facilities right her in the Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour,” he said.
‘The physical part’ must also be taken care of- Hon Vincent O. Wheatley
Minister for Health and Social Development Hon Vincent O. Wheatley, who is also the District 9 Representative, said he was happy to see businesses moving to the Virgin Gorda community.
Having grown up in the area, Hon Wheatley said it used to be the “centre of activity when I was a child”. He said the opening of The Lotus Center is one of many moves in the “right direction” for Virgin Gorda.
“To come forward now, fifty or sixty years, and we have this excellent spa, being the Minister of Health, I do appreciate the importance of massages, and spa and yoga for physical wellness,” he said.
Hon Wheatley thanked the owners for choosing to open their business in the Valley, and for being confident in the Virgin Gorda community.
Virgin Islands residents can enjoy a 15 per cent discount at The Lotus Center’s new location in the Valley.
