CXC probing 'distribution' issue with Principles of Accounts examination paper
The Council in a press statement said, it “has commenced investigations into circumstances surrounding an issue which occurred with the distribution of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Principles of Accounts Paper 02, at specific centres.”
The release did not detail the country or centre where the breach occurred, only that it was paper two of the Accounting exams.
The agency added that it understands that any uncertainty around examinations can cause anxiety and wishes to assure candidates and parents that these matters are treated with the highest urgency.
“Once we have completed our investigations, the appropriate action will be taken,” CXC added.
Over the years, the examination body has been plagued with leaks of exam papers ahead of the writing date, causing it to schedule resits or adjustments with implications on the final grade.
Our news centre will bring more details as they become available.
