Though the VI is a heavily travel dependent destination that depends heavily on tourism, it must go through the delicate balance of reopening its borders cautiously, effectively and safely. Yes, people have to live and eat but public health and safety should come before the economy. The economy will rebound but a precious life lost is gone forever. Dan Patrick Lieutenant-Governor of Texas says there is more important things than living. No, not in the secular sphere. The economy is not more important than life. The Lieutenant-Governor also says that seniors may be willing to die to save the economy. One can live and also save the economy.
Green - NO Cases - Proceed pre-Covid normal
Yellow - Returnees in quarantine (and uncleared) and tourists present (masks, social distancing, hand washing, etc)
Red - Critical lockdown
We should be in green now with no cases and all returnees cleared.
