ALACHUA COUNTY, Florida, USA- The Virgin Islands, through Courtny Bascombe, is in the Men's 60M Final at the World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships being held in Alachua County, Florida.
Bascombe had a phenomenal 3rd place finish in his heat of the 60M semi-finals with a time of 7.22s, narrowly missing an automatic qualifier spot by 0.01s.
Nevertheless, as one of the fastest non-automatic qualifiers, Bascombe is in the final slated for 10:00 AM today, Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
Bascombe is also set to compete in the 200M.
Katrina Lindsay to contest 10K
Also representing the Virgin Islands at the World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships is Katrina Lindsay, who will contest the Women's 10K.
This is the first time the Virgin Islands is represented at the World Masters Indoor.
