Controversial Rosemary Cindy Rosan announces candidacy for 2023 General elections
Rosan was at the time speaking at a Women’s Dinner with Guest Speaker, US Virgin Islands (USVI) Senator Janelle K. Sarauw (I) at Lambert Beach Resort in East End, Tortola.
Ms Rosan said she will run as an Independent At Large candidate in the next general election. She did not state her platform or what made her run for office.
She; however, claimed she will keep her platform “authentic” and will “remain steadfast for a better Virgin Islands.”
Would her past affect her?
Rosan has been known for her erroneous and slanderous statements on public radio and on her social media platforms, disrespecting members of the House of Assembly, and other residents who do not agree with her position on issues.
A few years ago, her job became redundant at BVI Tourist Board.
Many social commentators thought she would have run with the opposition National Democratic Party (NDP) or even in the Seventh District, as she has publicly expressed her disdain for the current Seventh District Representative, Deputy Premier Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley.
Rosan is often heard on radio calling him names and showing much disrespect to the Representative who is also the Minister for Education, Culture, Youth Affairs, Fisheries and Agriculture.
2023 Candidates are growing
With her announcement, it brings now to four the declared candidates for the 2023 general elections constitutionally due by May of 2023.
The others are Lesmore Smith and Shaina M. Smith-Archer of Progressive Virgin Islands Movement (PVIM) and Bevin S. George, who has not stated his party affiliation.
The ruling Virgin Islands Party (VIP) of Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Andrew A. Fahie (R1) has debunked the idea of a snap election.

With t*** looking like da, she needs to be at the downs galloping on the track. You think she could outrun ackspectations? A face only a **** (blind) could love.
This cr**y woman running??
The people will decide in the end. I'm not knocking nobody
How would you get people on your side when you are so lawless.
You have just made it so easy for VIP to return to power.
She is what she is unfortunately. BVI women are not her ilk and representing our Governmrnt and its people requires character nd dignity, standards which she cannot attain...
Well Kishma say she aint running because she feel people not moving as she would like. when you in this game sometimes you got to march on your own. I still will prefer the two of them as watch dogs.
I,for one, would like to vote for an independent, lion-hearted representative such as yourself.
This is a good day for us all!
a little tola girl causing such excitement
now !!!!
in the meantime all kinda killers mixing and mingle with us and most of we mout shut
I applaud her courage in throwing her hat in the ring, but I am not confident she'll get enough votes to win. I'd like to see her win to see if she's gonna put her money where her mouth is.
P.S... one might say it's a small number, but this small number might very well be the number that decide whether you win or lose.
May I say that this 2023 Election in the British Virgin Islands has become a Mockery! All these people running. Who will get the gold medal. Some of them not qualify. More women than men.
It looks like we are going to have a Female Government and a Woman Premier according to Claude Skelton-Cline.
Or either a Family Government because everybody is family, cousin and friend.
