These concrete pumper trucks are too long and top heavy for BVI roads. Skeleton and TCP need to find a better alternative to pumping concrete at construction sites on Tortola.

The pumps are not to Long nor to heavy . If your building a house make sure your road is wide enough n fixed n cut properly . So your job can be done . Is after the owner build his or her house they want to fix the road properly . Make sure it has space so pump truck n concrete truck can turn around on your job site n get to from it safely

Consider that the load imposed on the road by a loaded cement truck is equivalent to the load imposed by about 1700 passenger vehicles at one time, based on a concept called equivalent axle loads, used to design road construction. I don’t believe PWD or anyone else can provide road construction specs for BVI roads or that there are engineering reports that verify they were built to any particular specification. Ergo, we can’t really say that cement trucks are not to heavy. At least, not if one wants to be fact based.
