'Back off UK!'- VI residents drumming up support for public demonstration

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – In what is considered a most controversial amendment and one that forces the Virgin Islands (VI) to implement a public register that reveals the names of its beneficial owners of offshore companies registered in the British Overseas Territories, Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr The Honourable D. Orlando Smith (AL), strongly stated that his government will not comply with the amendment to the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Bill until it becomes a “global standard."

Those of us that read the bible have read the conversation between Jesus and his disciples when he asked them; who do people say I am? and after they answered him; he asked them; who do you say I am? This territory is now at a junction in its history (and has been for some time) where many people are asking, who are we?
