FAT HOGS BAY, Tortola, VI– Controversial talk show personality Ms Rosemary Cindy Rosan said she will personally refund some monies she collected on behalf of her former co-worker Dameon Percival, which she claims was already handed over to him as part of funds raised in a telethon to save the home of Percival from a public auction.

The refund comes after the Bank, despite Mr Percival reportedly receiving a large amount of cash donated to him, announced that the house would once again be going up for action on Thursday, August 31, 2023, which leaves the question of whether the money raised was used for the stated purpose.

The Bank had originally on June 22, 2023, said the property would be up for sale via auction which prompted the telethon on June 29, 2023, on Tola Radio 100.5 FM. The telethon managed to raise a reported $30,000 in cash.

Armed with a list of names on August 23, 2023, edition of 'Da Morning Braff' on Tola Radio, Ms Rosan said she had been continuously accounting for money pledged through her totaling at least $5,600 collected, which was reportedly made available to Mr Percival.

Refund to total at least $2,400

According to Rosan, the list included persons who donated via bank transfer, money transfers, cash, cheques and money already reportedly collected through her and directly by Mr Percival.

“Six thousand dollars would have been the total of persons that pledged in my inbox, or to me… of that $6000, $5,600 was received, Dameon received it,” she added.

Rosan said of the figure, she will reimburse $2,400 to persons who did not give directly to Dameon and once that happens, more accountability will come.

“Heritage has been accountable, I am going to be accountable, and we are going to let Dameon be accountable,” she said.

It remains unclear when the refunds will be issued by Ms Rosan.

The colonial powers used them without some of them knowing to destroy many innocent people in the BVI. Their turn has just begun.

The lady said, some of the pledge monies were given to Dameon through her, and that is what she promise to give back to those persons. But according to her statement, she handed all money received, to him.
Try to read with understanding, not with preconceived prejudices. Just an observation.

Cindy I was beginning to like you please don't muddy it. We know you struggling financially, where are you going to get money from to repay. Unless as Damien said that all monies wasn't handed over to him. This just doesn't make sense cindy. It is best to keep silent on this matter and don't dig a hole that you can not find your way out. Maybe we would need a other telethon.

All of them who had a hand in this are accountable and donations should be returned quickly since the monies were given quickly in good faith. There should be no holdup at all. Let's see how Honestly Speaking you really are!

If I understand correctly, Cindy kept 2400 of the money she collected?

Also sounds like she went ahead and spent the 2400 and is now trying to find the funds to repay.

All these funds were meant for the bank, it means large amounts of money might be unaccounted for.

Cindy is trying to tell us that she will pay back those persons who gave their donations for Dameon directly to her. The total amount was about $2,400.00. Although she gave the funds to Dameon, she feels bad because she assisted out of the kindness of her heart, but Dameon by whatever reason(s) has/have not been honest with the public about the situation.

If you donated money for Dameon's cause through Cindy she is saying she will be responsible and repay those persons (she is not saying she kept the money).

I am no fan of Cindy, but I clearly understand what she has said. We can't be against someone so much that we are not willing to understand what they have to say or what they are trying to say to us.

I do not understand,An account should have been established at NBVI into which monies would be deposited for subsequent transfer to the loan. Why was money handed to these individuals? Something went drastically wrong here.

Assuming that Cindy wasn't a part of the fraud perpetrated she owes no one a refund except for the monies that have not been delivered to Dameaon. She made a good-faith effort to help a friend in distress the same as the donors. It's a situation that each contributor must evaluate for themself and hopefully learn from it.

The BVI Financial Investigation Agency probably needs to look into this and help those who want their money returned to them to get it back if Mr Percival is not using the money towards saving his home.

So Sin d, a short stop on funds and economic resource, will be returning 2400 of the hot pepper to the owners.
She somehow is a more brazen and wicked story teller than imagined.
