According to a press release from CIBC Caribbean, the presentation was made at the bank by Relationship Manager, Platinum Banking, Personal and Business Banking Mr Nelson Ramirez, Compliance Manager Ms Roschelle Smith, and Business Banking Manager Ms Valissa Graham.
The FSN serves clients in Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost van Dyke and Anegada.
Staff donated their 2024 hurricane provisions
“At the start of the new year, the bank staff had agreed to contribute their 2024 hurricane provisions to support the pantry’s efforts in assisting families in need,” the release said.
Several cases of sardines, tuna, and soda crackers were donated by staff members and received by FSN Pantry Coordinator Ms Sandra Mills.
Ms Mills emphasised the importance of the donated items in meeting the dietary needs of those they serve.
The FSN primarily serves as a lifeline for many families and individuals in the Virgin Islands dealing with domestic abuse. It offers essential resources, counselling services, and medium-to-long-term solutions, including work skills training and resumé writing to provide persons with a sustainable new life away from their abuser.
