CIBC customers panic unnecessarily due to Guavaberry Media’s false reporting
It turned out that the issue was actually with some customers of 1FirstBank. Some 1FirstBank's customers had discovered there was zero “available balance” to their accounts and that some accounts were showing a deficit.
A few 1FirstBank customers have also since told our news centre that their total balance is reflected as being intact but there is no available balance.
Meanwhile, CIBC customers have confirmed to our News Centre there is no issue with their accounts.
Guavaberry Media apologies to CIBC
Guavaberry Media, owned by the controversial Rosemary L. Rosan aka ‘Cindy’ has since corrected its information and apologised to CIBC.
“Guavaberry Media extends an apology to CIBC.
“Our article, in error, listed the bank in our prior story in relation to customers waking up to frightening bank balances,” the apology on the news website read.
More false reporting by Guavaberry Media
It is not the first time the newcomer website has caused panic due to its false reporting.
Guavaberry Media created some unnecessary hysteria on October 13, 2023, when it falsely reported of a shooting in Long Bush and that two persons had been injured.
It was subsequently clarified that there was a “simulated” armed robbery exercise at the BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) office in Long Bush.

... the woman is bat sh** crazy
That it was some, but not all customers, still leaves the bank accountable. Banks and Utility Companies do sometimes make mistakes, for which they seldom apologise.
