Child injured as father goes berserk
Virgin Islands News Online was informed that officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) responded to a call indicating that a man was threatening to kill after the mother of his child declined to have a conversation with him.

The man also allegedly complained of having suicidal thoughts and was threatening to kill the woman, her boyfriend and an ex-coworker who he blamed for losing his job.
It’s alleged that the man was met by police as he was at the time in his vehicle. When approached the man allegedly stepped out of his vehicle and yelled, "Did you ever kill someone already? You going kill me today, you all officers going kill me today!"
Warned to calm down, the man went back to his vehicle and drove off.
Shortly after, police allegedly received another report that the same man was behaving in a disorderly manner at his mother’s home.

It's alleged the man flew into a rage and shattered a glass door of his mother’s home, resulting in one of his children being injured.
When police arrived on the scene, the accused was seen emerging from nearby bushes, allegedly wielding two cutlasses and shouting, "I will end it today. I will kill a police and die."
The man; however, ran off in some bushes but was subsequently found and taken to D. Orlando Smith Hospital where he was admitted to the behavioural health ward.

When it is over and the vast amount of zillionairs emerge as a result of their innovative mentality and creativity resulting in online businesses and investments, all yo will be m archin an bawlin discrimination. There are blessings and a rainbow in this unexpected God given opportune time. The whining and blaming and dissatisfaction needs to be checked. Start by devising a plan to never be caught broke and empty handed like this again.
It will get worst. Just in the aftermath of the two Hurricanes in 2017 when people were dying just like that, alot of it was brought on by mental stress. Where to get money to rebuild, where to get a new apartment from, where to get food when some jobs were lost and the list goes on. Fast forward in 2020/2021 people are suffering just the same or even worse as we dont have a timeline for when this pandemic will ease up. People are suffering mentally. I believe Government needs to refocus and do more for the people. Hold off on all these increased fees, capital projects and road works contracts for a little while. Let the economy open up first, let land based tourists and investors monies start to flow in. Government needs to start finding the balance and stop trying to close in everything. We are loosing business to other countries and they are finding the balance on how to operate during these difficult times.
Sad to say but more and more people will start breaking down from this stress.
